wedding I was really surprised at my sisters wedding just recently. I know that she did things on a budget and they did thank everyone for what they had contributed. They didn’t have any groomsmen gifts because there were no grooms men so they saved a lot of money that way. The best man was the grooms son and he was not given a gift as he did not really contribute very much to the ceremony apart from making a little speech which he was really too shy to do. Therefore they had no best man gifts either. The bridesmaids were a mixture of the bride and grooms children and friends and although they also had a verbal thank you there were no presents for them either. There were also no gifts for the mothers who both worked hard at helping out. I assume that thank you letters were sent, although I didn’t get one for my gift and so I felt that things were done quite oddly indeed. I suppose that I am used to weddings where the gift list is sent out well in advance and the thank you letters are often sent before the wedding because the bride and groom are off on honeymoon and do not have time to do them afterwards.

Shopping I love the fact that there are so many more trendy styles available in prescription glasses now. I always wondered whether, with the growing trend in eye correction surgery whether the demand for glasses would go down so much that there would be very little to choose from. However, it seems like the opposite has happened and there is now far more choice, which is fantastic. It means that people do not have to have nasty looking glasses or pick the best of a bad bunch. Obviously the designer range is expensive and cannot be afforded by everyone. However, it is good to have the choice and I have even seen brands such as Oakleys available which is nice. It means that you can have frames for sport or prescription sunglasses as well as normal lenses and there is a great choice out there for everyone. I guess the more designer frames are expensive and having more than one pair can be dear but there are people that can afford them and there are also now on line stores selling them for cheaper prices. This means that more people have a chance of getting a decent pair of glasses.

Shopping I think that I must have the most amazing job in the world. I work in this lovely little craft shop and get to see the most lovely things. The people that I sell to… tend to be some of the happiest and kindest people as well… which is lovely. I sell all sorts of things form embroidery and knitting, sewing and lace making to paper crafts, card making and fake flowers. I even have every type of wedding thing you can imagine from invitations and bridesmaids head bands to bouquets and bridal shower favors. I even have party decorations for everything from a birthday to an anniversary with table decorations such as cloths and napkins, baby shower favors and anything else that you could ever think of. I even order things in for people if I do not hold them in stock. It is like working in an Aladdin’s cave and I even get to take things home a use them myself! I guess I probably buy more than I am given though as I tend be tempted to try out new products and see what they are like, before I go ahead and sell them in the shop - well it is a good excuse anyway! It is useful though as I can tell people what to expect form the things that they are buying or what brands offer the best value for money etc.

Health I am going with my Dad to the hospital today as he is having a Utah endoscopy. He is really worried about it and is hoping that it will all go well. I think he is not only concerned about the procedure, but also about what they might find. It turns out that he has been having problems for quite a while, but has not bothered to tell anyone about them. This means that there is a chance that things could be pretty bad for him. I think he avoided telling anyone to start with as he thought it woudl pass and didn’t want to cause unnecessary concern. As it dragged on he became more and more worried. Then he started looking up Utah Gastroenterology on the Internet and imagining all these nasty things that could be wrong with him and he decided that he would rather not know. It was me who noticed that he was unwell and managed to get him to confess to his problems. I am hoping that the gastroenterologist Utah will be able to sort him out and it is not as serious as he thinks. I guess we will find out today.

Business It is amazing what good quality window wells are around these days. I used to think they were all old a rusty and nasty but I have been noticing that my neighbours have been having theirs replaced with some lovely ones. Not only do they look clean and neat but they add some style to the house. They have all managed to find ones which fit into the design of the house but also somehow managed to give their property a unique feel. It has certainly made me think that I should look into getting my basement window well done and I think I will ask those who have had it done, who they went to for it as theirs are so very impressive. I am sure they cost quite a bit of money but I do have some saved up towards home repairs and I think that these egress window well fittings have got me thinking about safety as well as style and it would be worth having an exit form the basement as ours is rusted together and so will not work as a fire exit. I will start doing some research right away I think.

Legal I am amazed that there are so many people looking for Tucson bankruptcy attorneys at the moment. I know that we have a very difficult economic situation and many people are losing their jobs and others have big loans that they cannot pay, but I am still surprised that so many are turning to bankruptcy. I suppose there is not such a stigma associated with this sort of thing then there used to be. More people are being forced to declare themselves bankrupt and so as something becomes more common it somehow becomes more acceptable. arts Stretcher bars are wooden frame work on which a canvas of cotton or linen is mounted for artists to work on. One can make their own stretcher bars or buy pre cut ones from art stores. A very important point in the frame is how the corners are joined. Mitre joint is most commonly used. Here, the ends or edges of wood planks are cut at 45? to form a 90? angled corner. The stretcher bars provide the support to canvas otherwise it will sag once it is painted. For getting good painting results, the canvas should be stretched taut over the frame. There should be no creases or unnecessary pulls on the canvas after it has been properly stretched on a stretcher bar.
