UK search engine
The UK search engine industry has managed to beat forecasts & has remained out of the gamut of troubling economic recession. But it did not happen by fluke. In fact some of these search engine companies had to overhaul all of their business process in order to escape the damning effects of recession. Nonetheless, analysts have predicted that the worst part of the whole economic downturn thing maybe at its very fag end now. So, it’s time to look up again & market aggressively to not only increase the bottom-line but also, to improve one’s own top-line. Before this economic recession experience, I knew nothing about this “top-line” or “bottom-line” thing but well, I guess the time’s they have changed. Top-line is the revenue, whereas, bottom-line is the profit margin of a particular company. Many search engine companies have in fact already started taking corrective measures to achieve this goal. Most of them had cut-back their expenditures on R&D i.e, research & development but with the condition looking to improve they have again started to fork out money for development purposes. Hopefully, these researchers are right & that the economic situation will improve & we will get to see more innovations in the realm of search engines.
